This Lady is one of the people that we could take inspiration
from. My favourite quote from her is

Mosunmola Abudu also Known as or fondly referred to as ‘Mo
Abudu’ is a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a TV channel, TV producer, talk show host, media
personality, human resource management consultant and entrepreneur.
Mosunmola Abudu was born in September 1964 in Hammersmith
Hospital, London. Her family roots are
in Ondo State in South Western Nigeria. At the age of 7, her family relocated
from the United Kingdom (UK) to Lagos, Nigeria.
After her father passed away (died), Mo Abudu returned to
the UK where she attended the Hammersmith County Secondary School before moving
to the Ridgeway School in Kent where she stayed with her guardian in Tunbridge
Wells. She then went on to West Kent College and Mid Kent College. She also obtained
a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management from the University of West
Minister, London.
Career
Her professional career began in the UK as a recruitment
consultant in 1987, further rising to the position of a branch manager. She then
went on to work for the Starform Group, where she managed the Corporate
Credit Management Exhibition from 1990 – 1992.
In the year 1993, she joined Arthur Anderson for Esso
Exploration & Production Nigeria Limited (now known as ExxonMobi) to head
their Human Resources and Training Unit. She left the company in 2000 to establish a
privately owned specialist Human Resource Development Company known as Vic
Lawrence & Associates Limited (VLA). While running the VLA company, Abudu
developed an executive training center at Protea Hotel, Oakwood Park, Lagos,
Nigeria.
Mo Abudu is also a member of the British Psychological
Society, and is qualified in Occupational and Personality Testing.
She is the host of popular TV talk show ‘Moments with Mo’. The show covers numerous topics which range from lifestyle, health,
culture, politics, entertainment, tradition, to music and inter – racial marriages.
Guest on the show so far has included Presidents, Nobel Laureates and the 67th
US Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton, various celebrities, humanitarians and
so on.
She is also the Creator and Executive producer of the
reality TV show ‘the Debaters’. Launched in 2009, the show focuses on ‘giving
Africa a voice’ through the promotion of oratory. She setup and is the Founder of Inspire Africa Foundation, a human investment arm of Inspire Africa Ltd. It is registered as a non – profit organisation focused on raising funds to help implement initiatives that would transform the society and providing help where needed like providing for people.
Withstanding all she has achieved, she finally launched one of her life long goals, her TV channel called ‘Ebony Life
Television’ on 1st July 2013. It is Africa’s first Global Black Multi-Broadcast Entertainment Network. A multi- platform broadcaster set to reach Africa’s
most important target demographic, the custodians of the present and the
future.
I look forward to reading more about her and also learning a
lot from her, at this point I am glad to say she is one of my Nigerian role
Models/Personalities and hope you got inspired a bit..
